Before graduation from NSCAD University in December 2006, I wanted to photograph a group of students from the Photography Department, mainly fellow graduates, in the same grouping as the famous Da Vinci painting ‘The Last Supper’ to create a more artistic keepsake for all the people I spent time with for the previous two years.
However, within this one photograph (as well as the original painting) there are issues of power, politics and emotions being played out – issues that are relevant to our society outside of any photography department. For that reason, I pursued this project in a different enviornment to build on the meanings behind this painting/photograph.
All prints are available for purchase. For sizes, pricing or more information, please contact me.
